Day 1. Arrive Broome
Arrive in Broome and be transferred to the iconic Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, where you will enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 2. Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 3. Geikie Gorge, Purnululu National Park.
Travel to Geikie Gorge National Park and explore magnificent Darngku (Geikie Gorge). Head to Halls Creek, before arriving at Purnululu National Park, one of Australia’s most stunning natural landscapes. Settle into APT’s exclusive luxury Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge.

Day 4. Purnululu National Park, Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge.
Explore the magic of Purnululu for yourself and discover the beauty of the Bungle Bungle Range. Walk along Piccaninny Creek, a winding gorge within the Bungle Bungle domes. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern where the acoustics are astounding.
Marvel at the majestic beehive domes as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. You may like to experience an optional scenic helicopter flight over the domes (own expense). This evening, enjoy drinks as the sun sets over the striking Bungle Bungle massif. BLD
Day 5. Echidna Chasm, Kununurra.
Take one of Australia’s most captivating hikes to Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock. Afterwards, head to Kununurra.

Day 6. Ord River, El Questro Wilderness Park.
Travel to the majestic Lake Argyle and join a spectacular wildlife cruise on the mighty Ord River. From a modern shaded vessel, discover a fascinating ecological system that has developed from the damming of the Ord River at two locations to create an area rich in wildlife, flora and undeniable beauty. Journey to the incredible El Questro Wilderness Park.

Day 7. Emma Gorge, Home Valley Station.
Hike to Emma Gorge, where you can indulge in a refreshing dip in a safe freshwater swimming hole. Cross the Pentecost River into Home Valley Station, an immense cattle property filled with spellbinding scenery.
Head to a superb viewing area as you savour this inspirational setting with sunset drinks, overlooking the Cockburn Range. Later enjoy a delicious dinner at Home Valley Station.

Day 8. Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Gibb River Road.
This morning ford the mighty Durack River and join back up with the Gibb River Road. This river flows north below the Durack Range, both named in 1882 after explorer and Kimberley pioneer Michael Durack. At beautiful Manning Gorge, you’ll enjoy lunch in the shade of boab trees.
Travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to discover the beautifully secluded Galvans Gorge, where a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole, perhaps cool down with a refreshing swim. Later, arrive at Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge for dinner.

Day 9. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming.
Travel to Bell Gorge, where stunning cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. You have the option to take an energetic hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a dip below the cascading waterfall. BLD
Day 10. Bell Gorge, Derby, Broome.
Travel into the King Leopold Range Conservation Park through to Derby and visit the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. Return to Broome and arrive at the iconic Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. Perhaps watch a sensational sunset from the perfectly positioned Sunset Bar and Grill.

Day 11. Broome, Embark Ship.

Day 12. Adele Island, Buccaneer Archipelago.
Arrive at Adele Island, an important location for breeding seabirds including the Lesser Frigatebird and the Brown Booby. Cruise through the Buccaneer Archipelago, home to more than 800 islands. This evening perhaps enjoy a refreshing cocktail as you relax on the Lido Deck while absorbing another sensational Kimberley sunset. BLD
Day 13. Talbot Bay, Horizontal Falls.
Talbot Bay is known for its massive 12-metre tides that create an amazing spectacle, the unique Horizontal Falls. Subject to tidal conditions, you will embark on an exhilarating ride through the incredible falls on a specially designed high-powered fast boat.
David Attenborough described the phenomena as “one the greatest natural wonders of the world.” Keep your eyes open in the chance you may get to see some of the local Tawny Nurse Shark population. BLD
Day 14. Raft Point, Doubtful Bay, Montgomery Reef.
Visit a Wandjina rock art site at Raft Point before cruising through the dramatic Doubtful Bay, with stunning cascading waterfalls plunging into the ocean below. Explore the spectacular natural phenomenon of Montgomery Reef and watch in wonder as the reef is revealed with the falling tide.
Be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, manta rays, black tipped reef sharks and dugongs, who are all known for roaming these pristine waters. BLD
Day 15. Careening Bay, Prince Regent Reserve, St George’s Basin.
Explore Careening Bay, where Phillip Parker King was forced to beach his damaged ship HMC Mermaid in 1820. While here, you will also see the bay’s Mermaid boab tree. Later, you’ll visit Prince Regent Nature Reserve, a significant protected natural area of the Kimberley.
After discovering this special place, you’ll take a picturesque cruise through St George’s Basin. BLD
Day 16. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River.
Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs and mangroves. With its extreme tides and pristine ecosystem, there is an incredible range of wildlife to discover here including saltwater crocodiles, mudskippers and birds.
Explore the Hunter River and visit Naturalist Island where an optional helicopter flight to Mitchell Falls departs (own expense). BLD
Day 17. Bigge Island.
Discover Bigge Island which is well known for its Indigenous rock art, which was created by the Wunambal people. In caves throughout the island, see examples of first contact art depicting tall ships and the mysterious Wandjina figures. BLD
Day 18. Vansittart Bay, Jar Island.
With your Expedition Team, walk across salt flats to view the wreckage of a US Air Force DC3, which crash landed on the beach during World War II. Later, visit Jar Island and discover the island’s outstanding rock art.
Marvel at examples of the Kimberley’s mysterious Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. BLD
Day 19. Koolama Bay, King George River and Falls.
Wake up in Koolama Bay before arriving at King George River. The highlight is sure to be King George Falls, the highest single drop falls in Western Australia. BLD
Day 20. At sea.
Enjoy your ship’s facilities with a full day at sea. Perhaps hear a series of informative and engaging lectures about a wide variety of topics related to the Kimberley Coast.
This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner. BLD
Day 21. Disembark Ship, Depart Darwin.
