The purpose built True North has a passenger limit of 36 and an all Australian crew of 20, and have a reputation  for attention to detail and excellence in service! There are 7 & 13 night options to cruise the magnificent Kimberley coast and all cruise meals on the True North feature modern Australian cuisine.

The True North is able to explore the upper reaches of shallow river systems – passengers need only step out of their cabins to experience the Kimberley lanscape and, the latest in computer controlled motion stabilizers ensures a comfortable ride. The cruises are adventure orientated and allow the client to intimately experience the destination. Daily activities include scenic walks, helicopter flights, culture, fishing,  picnics, exploring, nature and much, much more! And The True North is fully licensed for fishing activities.

On board, passengers are able to take advantage of a number of panoramic vantage points including a sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar. The ship’s naturalist presents interpretative information on plasma screens and, an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world.

Accommodation

The TRUE NORTH allows discerning adventurers to experience wilderness in surroundings more akin to one of the world’s most exclusive hotels! Guests are able to take advantage of a number of lavish vantage points including a sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar.

The ship’s naturalist presents interpretative information on plasma screens and, an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world.

A popular venue on any North Star cruise, the lower deck dining room offers the ultimate in comfort and uninterrupted vista – large panoramic windows ensure that guests never miss any of the action, even when they are enjoying the ‘finest in fine dining’. All cabins feature stylish décor, en-suite facilities, in-house entertainment and satellite telephones.

The Explorer Class staterooms and the River Class cabins offer king size beds that can be converted to singles and the Ocean Class twins feature roomy single beds.

Explorer Class

Located on the upper deck – Explorer Class cabins feature a king size double (that can be converted to singles) and a twin basin en-suite. Cabin size is 15 square metres.

Other features include large panoramic windows, a complimentary mini-bar, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone. 

River Class

Located on the middle deck – River Class cabins feature a king size double (that can be converted to singles) and en-suite. Cabin size is similar to Explorer Class.

Other features include large panoramic windows, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone. 

Ocean Class

Located on the lower deck – Ocean Class cabins feature roomy singles and en-suite. Cabin size is approximately 12 square metres.

Other features include 2 portholes, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone.

The Traditional Owners of the Kimberley and their representatives have now implemented a permit/fee for guests accessing traditional lands when cruising the Kimberley region. This fee applies to all ships operating in the Kimberley and is aimed at financing a sustainable cultural tourism management plan for the area. The cost of the permit to access these regions in 2019 is $105 per person. This fee will be added to all bookings once it is confirmed.
