Day 1: Welcome to Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Sounds of Silence Dinner
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm).
This evening dine under a million stars at the Sounds of Silence Dinner. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as a star talker takes you on a tour of the night sky (conditions permitting).
Hotel: Outback Pioneer Hotel (Budget), Desert Gardens Hotel (Standard) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (Superior), Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) – Uluru Sunset
Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set Uluru and the Red Centre alight. Then travel to the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, where the trail follows the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta.
This afternoon travel around the base of Uluru with a Driver Guide. Learn about the native flora, fauna and intriguing cultural traditions of traditional owners, the Anangu, and discover an array of fascinating sacred sites. Join your Driver Guide for a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. You’ll explore a number of caves and view Aboriginal rock paintings as your Guide interprets their meaning and significance.
Later visit Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where there is time to purchase some locally made Aboriginal art and learn more about the Western Desert region. Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area, ‘Sunset Strip,’ and relax with sparkling wine and nibbles as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is renowned.
Day 3: Farewell from Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Your short break concludes this morning You’ll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).

Uluru: Low level of fitness required. Approximately 1 hour gentle walk on flat ground.
Kata Tjuta: Moderate level of fitness required. Walking on uneven surface required to complete Walpa Gorge walk, however, guests can return to the coach at any time if needed.

Budget - Outback Pioneer Hotel
he Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge provides comfortable, clean hostel beds for the traveller who is simply looking for somewhere to rest between their outback adventures. Two styles of accommodation are available including twenty bed single sex dormitories and four bed mixed-sex dormitories; both have shared bathroom facilities.
