DAY 1 Welcome to Darwin

Take an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Then, enjoy a Welcome Reception and dinner this evening with your Travel Director and at a restaurant, with Darwin waterfront views.

DAY 2 Darwin to Katherine

Travel south along the Stuart Highway, stopping at Adelaide River War Cemetery. Then meet Tom Curtin during his entertaining show at the Katherine Outback Experience. Later, travel to Nitmiluk National Park, for a cruise along the spectacular Katherine Gorge.

DAY 3-4 Katherine to Kununurra

Day 3  
Watch the landscape transform as you journey past vast pastoral leases and Aboriginal homelands into Western Australia. Pause at the historic Durack Homestead Museum and Lake Argyle. Later, cruise the Ord River, see its abundance of wildlife and experience a magical sunset.

 
Day 4  
Today you may choose an optional early-morning flight over the Bungle Bungle Range before a tour of Kununurra, or a full-day 4WD tour of the Bungle Bungles. Later, explore Mirima National Park, home to an array of wildlife and a site of cultural significance to the local Miriwoong people. DAY 5 - 6 Kununurra to Emma Gorge

Day 5  
Tour the Hoochery Distillery, the home of Ord River Rum, before travelling on to Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve (weather permitting) to an abundance of wildlife. Continue on the Gibb River Road to your safari-style tented cabins in the El Questro Wilderness Park.

Day 6  
This morning Chamberlain Gorge, a tropical waterhole fringed by soaring escarpments. Then enjoy an afternoon at leisure at your resort or join your Travel Director for a challenging hike to Emma Gorge and perhaps take a dip in its crystal-clear waterhole.

DAY 7 Emma Gorge to Halls Creek

DAY 8 Halls Creek to Fitzroy Crossing

Travel to remote Fitzroy Crossing, stopping en route at a local art gallery with a chance to meet Indigenous artists. This afternoon, cruise through magnificent Geikie Gorge.

DAY 9 - 10 Fitzroy Crossing to Broome - Free Time

Day 9

Today is yours to explore this tropical hideaway. Enjoy a stroll or a swim on pristine Cable Beach or wander through Chinatown and shop for pearls.

DAY 13 Karijini to Karratha

This morning travel to Tom Price for a guided tour of Rio Tinto's Open Cut Iron Ore Mine site. You will be amazed by the massive pit and see the huge machinery and trucks in action as you’re lead to the heart of the operation. In the afternoon you journey back to the spectacular waters of the West Coast to Karratha, another town supported by the mining industry.

DAY 14-15 Karratha to Exmouth Free Time

Day 14  
Visit Exmouth, on the boundary of Cape Range National Park. See Vlaming Head Lighthouse for stunning views over Lighthouse Bay, then tour the township. Tonight’s accommodation is metres from the waters of beautiful Exmouth Gulf.

Day 15 
Explore Exmouth at your leisure. Swim with huge Whale Sharks in the pristine waters of the Ningaloo Marine Park, or take a stroll along the beach or relax by the hotel pool overlooking the Gulf.

DAY 16 Exmouth — Carnarvon
