As this Short Break departs at 6:30 am, accommodation will need to be pre-booked for the previous night.
Day 1: Darwin – Kakadu National Park
Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway, passing major river systems and wetland regions, into Kakadu National Park. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Join your local guide on a cruise of Yellow Water Billabong Cruise. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife for which this region is renowned. After lunch, stop at Nourlangie, where your Driver Guide will lead you on a walk to view the rock art galleries.

Day 2: Guluyambi Cultural Cruise – Darwin

Day 3: Darwin - Litchfield National Park – Farewell
Darwin Follow the Stuart Highway to Litchfield National Park. View Florence Falls before making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below with an opportunity to swim. Visit Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water cascading down to the deep waterhole below. Venture to Wangi Falls for another opportunity for a swim. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch. A great day also for taking many interesting photos, including the amazing stand of termite mounds. Return to Darwin, arriving early evening, where your short break concludes.

Please Note: - In April & November to March if weather conditions preclude access to the East Alligator region, alternative touring will be arranged on day 2.

Fitness requirement
Low to moderate level of fitness required:
- Kakadu: Small amount of walking including a 10-15 minute walk on uneven ground with a gradual climb to the viewing point.
There is wheelchair access, however, this is on uneven ground and is accessible for only a small part of the walk and must have a carer to assist. - Litchfield: Florence Falls– Climb 100 steel steps to top or walk at steady pace on the uneven base walk to viewing platform.
Tolmer Falls – steady 10 minute walk on established path.
Wangi Falls – 5 minute walk through rainforest.
